She is a real credit to the city.Stavanger is the fourth largest city of Norway. Apparently she is a pensioner who covers their reception and who is obviously very proud of the hall, speaking in glowing terms of the hall and Stavanger itself. I cannot thank the lady who showed me around enough. It was a real privilege to listen to them for a few moments. I could not believe my eyes as there below was The Stavanger Symphony Orchestra rehearsing. I said yes, so she took me up a further staircase leading out onto the balcony of the main hall. She asked me if I wanted to go inside to look. Not only did she allow me to take photos, she then took me on a personalised tour of the venue with an incredible wooden staircase leading to the main auditorium. I asked if it was permitted for me to take photos of the reception area where there was an incredible aerial sculpture and she said of course. I’d only been in the reception area a few minutes when a wonderful lady asked if she could help me. It just happened that I thought I’d pop in to take some photos of the inside and compare it to the one in Oslo I’d seen previously, a few years ago. I visited the concert hall whilst on a cruise port call as an independent visitor.
